The Prince George’s County Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma is committed to empowering the next generation of leaders. Over the past decade, our chapter has awarded more than $80,000 in academic scholarships to deserving high school seniors in Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). These scholarships help students achieve their academic dreams and underscore our dedication to service and scholarship.
Each year, we award multiple $1,000 scholarships to graduating PGCPS seniors who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Enrollment: Must currently attend a Prince George’s County Public High School (PGCPS). Private school students are not eligible.
- Residency: Must reside in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
- Academic Achievement: Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent, demonstrating scholastic excellence.
- Community Engagement: Must have a proven record of meaningful community service.
- Future Plans: Must be planning to attend an accredited college or university in the fall of the upcoming academic year.
Our scholarship program aims to support students who embody the values of leadership, service, and scholarship. If you or someone you know meets these qualifications, we encourage you to apply and take the next step toward a bright future.
